Thank you so much to everyone who supported the idea of throwing Mr Markham out of a plane for FitzRoy. The amount raised, including Gift Aid, amounted to over £1,500! With such a significant amount above the original target of £1,000, you took Mr Markham to new heights and he actually skydived from 15,000ft, nearly 3 miles up! See our website for two videos from different camera angles to watch his adventure. Here is the link:

On Friday 29th June, a group of Year 4 students took part in our annual camp on our school field. Everyone had a wonderful time toasting Smores and being thoroughly entertained by Mr Jones, our resident fire juggler! Thank you so much to all the parents who helped in the morning - it made a huge difference!

Year 3 had an amazing Saxon day; the costumes and enthusiasm were outstanding! They performed in a Rainbow Theatre production, which looked at the end of the Roman occupation and the rise of the Saxons in Britain.
They created their own compositions based on Saxon Gods, made brooches and learnt about Runes. A fantastic day was had by all.
It was wonderful to see so many parents last night. If you would like to view the presentation given on the evening, please click here
Over the past few days, a selection of children from Year 3 were given the amazing opportunity to take part in an archaeological dig which is based at Colemore. They used metal detectors and other tools, to locate and sift through artefacts and learnt how to sort and classify all the wonderful artefacts found. More photos can be found here
Our Girls’ Football team took part in the South & West Regional Finals in Bristol on Saturday. It was an incredibly tense and exciting day!
Well done girls for being the Hampshire Champions and for playing with such pride today. You are all winners and we are extremely proud of you all! We would also like to thank the parents for their support!
It was wonderful to see so many of you at last nights' SATs Information evening. Please click here for a copy of the presentation.
We were incredibly lucky today to be joined by Scott Heffield, an ex-marine, who works alongside Bear Grylls on all of the adventure programmes on TV. Scott gave the children a talk about his extreme adventures, TV work and included some delicacies that adventurers have to eat when they’re in the wild. Some of the children volunteered to eat crickets, meal worms and other delights! Two staff were invited to eat live mealworms but only Mr Jones rose to the challenge!!
Together we raised a fantastic £501.53 and Fir class raised an amazing £55 on their own!
It was lovely to see so many of the children and staff dressed as their favourite book characters on Thursday 8th March. Year 5 had a lovely morning with a local author, Tony Flannagan and they heard all about how he comes up with his ideas for stories and how he has started to become an author even though his ‘real job’ is in the police! Thank you for all your support with making this event so memorable.
